I began this project with no forward planning
but as I progressed I realised I should have done some research
and a visit to the local library produced four items from which
I procured many little gems of information. Those four items
which proved invaluable as the series progressed were:
"Kimberley In Old Picture Postcards" Volumes 1 and
2 by Arthur Plumb
"Old Kimberley" by David Ottewell (another book of
old photographs)
and "A Brief History of Kimberley" a booklet by J.
M. Lee.
