Ilkeston - Waking Up

All of this week's pictures were
taken with a Nikon D3300 camera
With the sun returning to the northern hemisphere,
nature is waking up and that is becoming apparent all around
the town.
Daffodils are flowering in gardens ....

.... and in Park Cemetery.

They are in the local parks too like here on Chaucer Old Park
....

.... and also on the traffic islands at each end of Chalons Way.
|
Trees are blossoming.
|
Buds are bursting open on bushes.
|
Peonies are showing strong growth already.
|
And rhubarb is sprouting without being forced.
|
For the reluctant gardener the lawns are already in need
of their first mow.
|
And the weeds are growing! Yes nature is waking up and that means
there's work to do in the garden.
