Ilkeston - Blue Skies
w/e 14 August 2022
All of this week's pictures were taken with a Nikon D3300

There's an Irving Berlin Song called "Blue Skies" that begins "Blue skies smilin' at me, nothin' but blue skies do I see" and anyone looking up in most regions of the UK during this prolonged spell of hot, sunny dry weather would have seen a large amount of blue skies. Walking around the town centre one day this week, I did just that and although all of the images below contain blue skies, they also include parts of buildings that should be recognisable if you are familiar with the town. So how well do you know Ilkeston? Can you identify the buildings in each photo? Some are easier than others but see how many you know before clicking on the link at the foot of this page to reveal the answers.
