Shipley Hill - Galanthus Time
w/e 23 February 2020
All of this week's pictures were
taken with a Kodak DX6490
I could have included this page in the Miscellaneous
Walks section as all the images come from a longer walk in Shipley
Country Park but in truth, they were all taken on a loop around
Shipley Hill from Derby Lodge via Shipley Lane, the wood at the
top of the hill, the site of the former Hall and the old Coach
Road. The length of this route was only a little over half a
mile but that was sufficient to see millions of the plant with
the botanical name Galanthus or to you and me - snowdrops! So
rather than go into great detail about the route, I've just captioned
each image with a brief note about its location.
The bank below the house called The Gardens.
