Ilkeston - Patterns In The Park
w/e 25 November 2018
All of this week's pictures were taken with a Kodak DX6490

So what do you do on grey and overcast November days when it never really gets light? Well I set the camera to black and white mode to be more in tune with the weather conditions and took a closer look at some familiar objects in Victoria Park to reveal some interesting patterns and shapes such as .....

Gate

.... Detail on the gates at the entrance to the Park.
Pergola

The symmetrical lines of the pergola.
Ceiling

Triangles in the bandstand ceiling.
Seats

An arc of seats around the bandstand.
2014

A date marker in the ornate ironwork on a bench overlooking the central formal beds.
Fence

Another date and the fencing around the raised display bed.
Slide

The rest of the images were all taken in the play area where the circular tube and vertical lines of the fence were on the children's slide.
Posts

A line of stepping posts of varying heights.
Swing

More geometric shapes on the swing.
Climbing Frame

Intricate patterns formed by the climbing frame form a symmetrical pyramid when viewed from a distance.
