Ilkeston Cam On Holiday
In South West Wales - Part Seventeen
Pembrokeshire Views
The
photos on this page were taken during July 2002

The Pembrokeshire
coastline is widely admired for its scenery and is of course
the main part of the National Park. This is just one example
of the views that surround the county, looking across the mouth
of the Milford Haven towards St Ann's Head and in the far distance,
Skokholm Island.
|
The National
Park though is not only about the coast. A few miles inland,
this view from near the toll bridge at Pembroke Dock shows the
wooded banks at the side of the Milford Haven waters.
|
Also in the
National Park in the north of the county are the Preseli Hills,
which, apart from their own beauty provide a superb vantage point
for views in all directions. This is looking southwards towards
Narberth and Tenby.
|
A couple of
local residents are more interested in what's underfoot than
the views.
|
To the north
the view is towards Fishguard and on a clear day, Cardigan Bay
would be visible from here.
|
The road goes
off in one direction whilst a signpost directs walkers in another
but as no part of Pembrokeshire is more than 15 miles from the
sea, all ways will soon lead to home.
