All of this week's pictures were taken with a Nikon D3300 camera..

Good Friday Service

The Good Friday Walk Of Witness this year began with a short service in the United Reformed Church.
Assembly

The congregation then exited the church to gather on the wide pavement on Wharncliffe Road before starting the walk to St Andrew's Methodist Church.
Market Place

The walk followed the familiar route through the Market Place and down Bath Street.
Stop No. 1

There were two stops on the walk, the first being on the Lower Market Place outside The Observatory, a Wetherspoon's pub.
Hymn Singing

Two hymns were sung a cappella and prayers were said.
Bath Street

The walk then continued down Bath Street to the second stop outside the NatWest Bank.
Stop No. 2

More prayers were said and hymns sung at this second pause on the walk.

Following The Cross

Following the cross the route then continued down Bath Street.
Two By Two

The event was well attended again by Christians representing churches throughout the town - and beyond - and walking two by two the procession stretched a good way up Bath Street.
St Andrew's Church

Turning into Wilmot Street the walkers entered St Andrew's Church where another short service brought the Good Friday Walk of Witness to a conclusion. The story doesn't end there though as the Easter story continues on Easter Sunday with a Dawn Service at the Dale Abbey Arch and services in all the churches to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
