Ilkeston - Decorations At Dusk
w/e 14 December 2025
All of this week's pictures were
taken with a Samsung SM-G781B Mobile Phone
It had been a bright sunny day but as the light began
to fade in the late afternoon, these images were all taken as
we walked around the town centre.

Lights shone brightly on the Erewash Museum's Christmas
Tree at the entrance to the Hayloft.
|

There are more conifers in the Albion Precinct but these
are there permanently rather than just at Christmas. The decorations
here are in the shop windows and the twinkling lights suspended
above.
|

From the end of the Precinct, coloured lights hung between
the buildings, could be seen all the way down Bath Street.
|

Many shops were displaying their wares and chief among
them were charity shops with a wide display of new and used goods.
|

Banner type decorations have been installed across several streets
- this one was across East Street at its junction with Bath Street.
|

As well as our walk through the Albion Precinct and Bath
Street, our wanderings took us to the other side of the town
centre and close to the General Havelock on Stanton Road.
|

From the end of Stanton Road the decorations on South Street
shone brightly.
|

Among those decorations on South Street are these on the Spanish
Bar.
|

At the other end of South Street the lights across the road continue
into the Market Place.
|

On the Market Place Seasons Greetings are extended to all from
the brightly lit Town Hall.

And of course all the trees in the Market Place are adorned with
more coloured lights.
