Local - Festive Erewash
w/e 05 December 2021
All of this week's pictures were taken with a Kodak DX6490
It's been quite a busy week
and when we got to Sunday morning, there were no pictures waiting
to be uploaded so that meant a whistle-stop tour around Erewash
to see how other places had been preparing for Christmas.
First stop was West Hallam.
|
We then moved on to Stanley Common.
|
We took the back road and stopped again in Stanley Village.
|
From there we moved on to Ockbrook and spotted another Christmas
Tree in the Royal Oak's car park.
|
Crossing the A52 into Borrowash we paused again in the shopping
precinct car park.
|
From there we drove to Draycott and although the village's Tree
of Hope didn't have any decorations on it, words on the red postbox
in front of it said it was for "Letters To Santa".
|
Parking was at a premium in Breaston even though it was a Sunday.
There were no empty spaces on the car park so it was a quick
stop blocking in three other vehicles whilst I took this shot
of the tree.
|
Lots of free parking available in Long Eaton and the town centre
around the Market Place was practically deserted - most of the
shoppers were in the supermarkets!
|
On our way back to Ilkeston we stopped near the centre of Sandiacre.
|
And before returning home a short detour took us to Stanton By
Dale. Then it was back home for lunch.
