Ilkeston - Christmas at St Mary's
w/e 21 December 2003

This composite shows Christmas trees, holly, a silver star, baubles, candles and some of the people putting them all together to enhance the interior of St Mary's for this joyous season. Even the Three Wise Men from the east turned up early and took a detour to take up residence above the west door in anticipation of Christmas Day.

The hardboard shepherds were still being dressed ready for their visit to the manger.

The decorated pulpit overlooked the Advent Wreath.

Final touches were added to a flower arrangement by Sheila Rigby.

Almost done. Seen from the entrance to the Cantelupe Centre, many of the decorations are visible.

And a few days later video cameras were much in evidence when Mary's Urchins, a group for mothers and toddlers, performed their Nativity Play.

Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
